![]() ![]() Hi there! I like answering questions, so it is fine to ask them. And because we’ve changed a lot in 3.0, we first want to get 3.0 stable and released, so that we have a clean desk to work on GIF export next in 3.1. The thing is however that we want to do GIF export properly, so that you get nice quality results, and that is pretty difficult to do right. Oh, no worries, GIF export WILL COME, because it’s part of the animated file formats export stretchgoal that people chose(Which also includes APNG and spritesheet export). Unlike Fire Alpaca though, Krita is open source, so maybe a gif export option will come out for it eventually if there’s enough demand :) I’d recommend Virtual Dub if you’re on Windows, and Shotcut if you’re on a Mac or Linux. Much like in Fire Alpaca, you export your animations as a numbered frame sequence and then stitch them together in something like Virtual Dub or Shotcut where you can export as video or gif. Right now, you can test out the animation feature in the installable alpha. For anyone disappointed that Clip Studio’s animation feature came with a 24-frame limit for non-EX users, the free program Krita will be coming with its own animation feature at the end of this month when version 3.0 is released. ![]()
